Race Nights
What is a Race Night?
A series of up to 10 recorded horse races, from the UK, USA and Australia. These consist of a mixture ofraces including harness and greyhound racing.
Why hold a Race Night?
It is a way of raising money for your club, charity or organisation. Your member places bets on horses, numbered 1-8 and a winning dividend is declared. It is a fun evening for club members and their family and friends.
How do you make money?
Sponsorship is sold for each race. Also for a nominal fee people become horse owners for the race, winning a prize if their horse wins the race. A percentage is taken from each tote ticket sold. As a club, charity or organisation you are in complete control of the money.
What do I need to do?
Supply a suitable venue and customers. The whole evening is run by specialist staff who supply all the equipment, work out the tote dividend and can suggest more fun ways to generate cash for you throughout the evening.
What does it cost?
On making your initial booking you need to pay a £50 deposit. All other fees are covered by the evening’s entertainment. It is estimated that even if you have as few as 30 people you will make profit.
Is it legal?
Yes. Race nights are covered under the lotteries act.
