On Sunday afternoon 6th July 2014 an international group of cannonballers gathered in Hook, Hampshire, UK ready for a TOP SECRET 2,500 mile trek across Europe.
I was a co driver on a beautiful Aston Martin Vanquish – OMG! What a dream car to drive!
With the promise of an adrenaline fueled 6 days of adventure, 5 star all the way, cannonballers set off on an 865 mile drive to the beach at Cannes, France where they were greeted with champagne and just enough time to catch their breath and the wisp of a Mediterranean tan before driving the viaducts and tunnels of the Côte d’Azur for Track Day at the beautiful Tuscan circuit of Mugello.
A summer’s evening in the garden of the Grand Villa Medici, Florence was followed by an unforgettable drive north to Bormio and up the famous hair pin bends of the Stelvio Pass to spend the night at the stunning Intercontinental, Davos.
Another full day of driving through the Alps brought cannonballers to the heart of historic Strasbourg to enjoy an evening chilling out Alsace style before the final leg back to UK via Calais and the Channel Tunnel.
