What a brilliant time of year… it’s warm outside, the sun is shining – hopefully, the days are longer and everyone is in a good mood. Together with this, there is usually a lot to look forward to especially weddings, festivals and such like which almost rely on the good weather.
Corporate summer parties are making a huge comeback; they are an effective way of interacting with clients and creating a friendly, face to face meeting in a beautiful environment.
There are some fantastic venues in and around London, places you never thought would be available for an event.
London Zoo for example; you can book one of the famous Animal Houses overlooking the Rainforest Lookout and look at this handsome chap….
Or if you fancy something a bit more regal, what about St Paul’s Cathedral? You can hire the North Churchyard – the only outside venue available within the City of London. There’s always a palace – Kensington and Hampton Court Palace both have venues available to hire. If you fancy inviting a lot of guests to lock up and throw away the key, the Tower of London would be ideal. For nearly 1,000 years the mighty Tower of London has stood anchored on the shore of the River Thames and if you fancy a private viewing of the Crown Jewels, that can also be arranged.
One of London’s unique venues is on the Thames. The HMS Belfast, a Second World War Royal Navy Warship is permanently moored between London Bridge and Tower Bridge and has a fantastic outdoor space overlooking the river. The Cutty Sark – the famous, last surviving tea clipper also has an impressive entertainment space located directly under the hull of the ship.
On a similar theme, there’s the underground Churchill War Rooms where the man himself said in 1940 “This is a room from which I will direct the war.”
If it’s a good view you’re looking for then the Deck at the National Theatre offers fantastic views across the South Bank and the City. The London Eye is also available for hire with private capsules available – you can even get married up there!
The Wellington Arch situated in the middle of Hyde Park has large third floor balconies giving guests a glorious panoramic view over London. You can even see the Household Cavalry pass by on their way to the Changing of the Guard ceremony at Horse Guards Parade. The arch itself is actually hollow and until 1922, housed the second smallest police station in London.
This is just a few of the amazing venues available to hire in London and would make any event extra special. However, if you want to make your event unforgettable, why not hire a casino?
